Do the Amazigh radio have the right to exist? The 22 februar 2004, we disapprove the second anniversary of its disappearance in the Amazigh town of Agadir, and at the same we hear about the inauguration of other chanels coverring the national territory. Our dirigents take the initiative to start FM radios for broadcast the divers programs in Arabic.

Today we listen the Rabat broadcast station in Arabic and french, the Mohammed VI coranic radio, the Medi1 radio, the 2M radio and the Sawa radio. Except the Mohammed VI radio, those media are only listened in oriental and occidental languages, but not in our national language Tamazight. To listen it, one must use the AM, very sensitive to interferences, and that, between 20:00 and 24:00; 4 hours of unintelligible programms in Tamazight that have a local vocation (south morocco) and missing the center and north of the country as it was before its launching.

For the memory of the Amazigh radio

The programs about Amazigh culture or identity seems to be crypt, one only catch a deafening sound with a bad voice. Nevertheless, one must put a sock in it and ask the neighbour switch off their TV and all the instruments generating interferences. Here are the jam quality that they reserve to the programs broadcast by the Amazigh radio! If we deplore today the death of the Amazigh radio, the only communication space for the isolated families, our dirigents took the initiative to create the TV station in Arabic named: «Almaghribia» intended to arabize the Moroccans living abroad! They create the local TV station of Laayoune for increasing the edification of a country pround of his regions, his diversity and his wealth! This is perfect. But how to build a country pround of his diversity if we isolate the culture main flow of this country? How to be proud of his regions when those Amazigh regions are often isolated and subjugate to the central power? Isn’t it a clear contradiction?

If we consider political, democratic and national angle, we have to answer to the legal revendications of Tamazight. Du to the fact that Imazighen contribute in financing all of the national media and defending the territory integrity. For avoiding to assume the responsibility to have expropriate the people of his legitime rights, the launching of a radio station covering all the territory 24h/24 in Tamazight is one of the legal and urging revendication highly preconised.

It must be said, the state is directly responsable, he own all the abilities to fight "racism, discrimination, injustice, underdevelopment and all kind of extremism from the youth." We have to become reconciled one time for all with the real North African’s identity: the AMAZIGHITY. We have to renounce following the "Machrik bâatisme" and our schools have to teach the true Amazigh values that are all ours.
